Maurice Lacroix is a Swiss watch brand founded in 1975. The brand’s roots go back much further in time; to be exact, the brand started producing watches for third parties in 1889 under the name Desco von Schulthess. Around the 1980s, Maurice Lacroix became so popular that they stopped the third-party manufacturing and started fully focusing on their own brand. From this point on, Maurice Lacroix continued to grow, mainly due to their popular designs and high quality standards. In 2001, Maurice Lacroix became an independent watchmaker with their own manufacturing facilities, and in 2006 they introduced their first in-house timepiece, the ML106 hand-wound chronograph. From then on, Maurice Lacroix has had much success with Haute Horlogerie watches such as the Maurice Lacroix Retrograde Masterpiece and reissues such as the Maurice Lacroix Aikon.
