A Solid Companion

The Shell Star has a standout appearance because of its unique design with thick lugs, crown guard, polished bevels & a beautiful sand textured dial. But does it stand out in a bulky (too big) way?
No, the Shell Star has a diameter of 41.0 mm, a lug to lug of 47.5 mm & a thickness of just 11.7 mm, which makes it extremely wearable for average wrists.
The way the watch is finished by polishing bevels into the lugs & having polished surfaces on the flanks of the watch also gives the watch depth & a smaller look in terms of proportions.

Attention To Detail

If you take a look at the Shell Star design wise, there are a few things that stand out: The indices & hands are bulky, but not in a way that they disturb the view of the dial. They are also legible in the dark because Super LumiNova BGW9 is applied to both the indices & hands, & also to the lume triangle on the unidirectional bezel at 12 o’clock, ensuring superior readability in dark conditions.
Every dial color has a very good color contrast with its lettering, hands, minute & second indicators, etc.
A lot of thought has gone into the design of this watch, but it does not end with the dial; for example, the rubber strap has a texture of blocks on the inside, leaving room in between them to ensure the watch fits nicely, tight & comfortably around the wrist or wetsuit. In combination with the slightly curved lugs, this watch fits like a glove.
